Elevated fire danger will continue across Arkansas this weekend. Dry weather, low humidity, and gusty winds increase the risk of wildfires, allowing fires to start easily and spread quickly. Please avoid outdoor burning and use extra caution with equipment, vehicles, and smoking materials.

Remember to check your batteries in your smoke detectors and have a family meeting spot in front of your house in case of a fire.

Lt. Seth Hardwick starts a new chapter at HFD!

In 2013 Seth joined the department as a cadet. Two years later, he started as a part-time/volunteer firefighter. For the last 10 years he has been a great resource and asset to the department and our community! Today marks his first day as a full-time career firefighter. He will work the opposite rotating 12 hours day shift as our other full time firefighter. We will continue to have on call and on duty firefighters working with them.

Join us in congratulating Lt. Hardwick and this next phase of our Haskell Fire Department!

Hometown Hero - Harper Graves

On Feb 26th, Harper saw a fire and asked someone to call 911. He then went house to house notifying them that their yard was on fire and to take action until the fire department arrived on scene.

Chief Cotten had the privilege of presenting him with a certificate today at the HG award banquet to recognize his bravey and swift actions!

Thank you for your leadership, hard work, and dedication as our chiefs over the past 25 years. The Haskell Fire Department and the City of Haskell would not be what it is today without both of you!
