As we wrap up another incredible year, we want to say a heartfelt thank you to our Mayor’s Youth Council, our Mayor’s Youth Council Oversight Committee and Mayor Crookham!

To our Youth Council members—your dedication, leadership, and commitment have truly stood out this year. Through community service projects, learning experiences, and your engagement with local government, you have made a real difference and shown what strong young leadership looks like.

To our Oversight Committee—thank you for your guidance, support, and the time you invested in mentoring and encouraging these students throughout the year. Your leadership behind the scenes helps make this program meaningful and successful.

And to our Mayor—thank you for your continued support of this program and for investing in the next generation of leaders in our community.

We are incredibly proud of all that has been accomplished this year. Thank you all for your hard work, service, and commitment to our community.

The Mayor’s Youth Advisory Council stepped up in a big way for our community! 🥫💛

Students from Harmony Grove Public School joined in by bringing canned goods for the food drive.

All of the donations helped stock our local blessing boxes, making sure families in need have access to food.

Thank you to everyone who contributed and supported this effort—it truly showed the heart of our community!

The Haskell Mayor's Youth Advisory Council has had a busy December! Several of our students kicked off the month decorating for and riding in the Arkansas Health Center's annual Christmas parade- where we took third place in the community division. (A few of our MYAC students also marched with the HGHS Band)

Some of our MYAC students have assisted with the Celebration Baptist Church food pantry and we will help again next week. Three of the youth council members also attended the Haskell City Council meeting. This week MYAC celebrated the holidays with our December meeting, where we elected officers, wrapped presents for an Angel Tree recpient, and had a fun Christmas party.

Tonight, MYAC attended the Arkansas Health Center Parade, and the kids demonstrated their creativity by decorating the Mayor's truck. Merry Christmas! 🎄🎅🏼❤️
