🚨 ALARM PERMIT REQUIREMENT 🚨

The Haskell Police Department has experienced issues responding to alarm calls when there is no information available to contact the homeowner or business owner.

The Haskell City Council has adopted Ordinance 2026-11, which requires an alarm permit in order for officers to respond to alarm calls.

!!!!!! THERE IS NO FEE FOR THIS PERMIT !!!!!!!

We ask that all homeowners and businesses complete the alarm permit application and file it with the Haskell Police Department. Applications are available online or at the Police Department.

Having current contact information on file will help our officers respond more effectively when an alarm is activated.

If you have questions regarding Ordinance 2026-11 or the alarm permit, please contact the Haskell Police Department during regular City business hours.

Officer Tareq has traveled and served in many places before making his way to Oklahoma, where he met his wife. He also proudly served several years as a Department of Defense Contractor with the U.S. Marine Corp in Iraq.

Please SLOW DOWN and STAY ALERT in the morning and afternoon hours. Watch for children getting on and off buses, and pay close attention to school zones and posted signs.

The Lawson family and the Fort Smith Police Department gave a heartfelt farewell to a truly wonderful man. George Lawson will be deeply missed by everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. May his memory be a blessing, and may his family, friends, and colleagues find comfort in the many lives he touched.
