Sign-up for Reading to Rover! Whether your child has special needs or simply wants the experience of reading to a canine companion, Reading to Rover is a great way to provide your child with a friendly, non-judgmental audience. Bella and Honey, two certified therapy dogs, visit the library twice a month during the school year. Children read to them for 15 minutes. Choose from our books or bring your own from home. For independent readers in 1st to 5th grades on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month, 4:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED - Register at the circulation desk or call (817)439-4278, ext. 201.

Friday, September 4th @ 10:00am, join Therapy Street Pediatric Speech Therapy for an interactive story time led by a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist! Through books, songs, movement, and play, children will build early communication and language skills in a fun, engaging environment.

Designed for young children of varying ages and language levels, each session features interactive reading, rich vocabulary, and play-based activities that encourage participation and a love of books. Parents and caregivers will also learn simple, evidence-based strategies they can use at home to support their child's communication during everyday routines.

Whether your child is just beginning to communicate or is already chatting away, everyone is welcome to read, play, and grow together
