Dark Sky Event! 💫🌌

Join Meridian Township Parks and Recreation & Abrams Planetarium at North Meridian Road Park on Friday, October 16, at 6:00 pm for an evening of observing nature and the starlit sky.

Park staff will lead a night hike beginning around dusk, then the Abrams staff will teach the basics of star maps, binoculars, and telescopes.

Participants are encouraged to bring a flashlight for the night hike and binoculars and/or telescopes. Planetarium staff can help you learn how to use them to view the night sky! 🔦🔭

❗️September 30 Summer Concert Series Cancelled ❗️

Due to inclement weather, the concert scheduled for tonight, September 30 has been cancelled.

The Meridian Township Farmers' Market will still be held at Marketplace on the Green (1995 Central Park Drive, Okemos) from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm.

We apologize for the inconvenience!

Beginning Friday, September 25, the Central Park South parking lot will be closed for maintenance.

Residents can still access the trails through entrances at Nancy Moore Park (1960 Ga***rd C Smith Court, Haslett) and Central Park (5153 Marsh Road, Okemos).

We will update this post as soon as we have more information about when the parking lot will reopen.

Summer Concert Series Extended! 🎉

Because we had to cancel four shows due to inclement weather, we're extending the Summer Concert Series through the end of October!

Movie Night in the Park! 🎬🍿

Join Meridian Township Parks and Recreation at Towner Road Park (2055 Towner Road, Haslett) for a free Movie Night in the Park this Friday, August 28, beginning at 6:00 pm!

We will show "Twisters" and have snacks available on-site! Participants are encouraged to bring blankets or chairs to sit on.
