A big milestone for downtown Hastings! Yesterday, we gathered to celebrate the ribbon cutting for Riverwalk Lofts & Mill Street Market and recognize the vision, investment and hard work behind this transformative project.

With more than $40 million invested, this development is bringing new housing, including workforce housing, along with childcare, local food and business opportunities to downtown Hastings. It’s an exciting investment in the people who call Barry County home and the future of our community.

While work continues to wrap up the project, yesterday was an opportunity to celebrate how far it has come and thank the many partners who have helped move it forward. Bringing a development of this scale to life takes years of planning, collaboration and commitment.

Congratulations to everyone involved! We look forward to seeing the finishing touches come together and this new destination become a place for people to live, work, shop and gather.
