Yesterday evening we added lighting to our courtyard to expand our ability to do evening events!

Epidendrum Conopseum aka magnoliae
The "Greenfly" orchid. This is the Northern most growing epiphytic orchid ranging from North Carolina to Louisiana. Frost hardy and found in Oak Hammocks and Magnolias along side the epiphytic resurrection fern. The plants leaves are 2.5 inches long, inflorescence 6 inches long, and flowers are about a quarter inch. Plant size approximately 12 to 15 inches. Ask to see this orchid when you come to the garden.
