Pick up a canvas, create something amazing (or delightfully confusing), and return it by June 5 for our Community Art Project.

Storytimes return this week! Itsy Bitsy Book Club will meet on Wednesdays at Tyden Park- weather permitting- near the playground. Preschool Storytime will meet in the Community Room. Both storytimes begin at 10:30, sharing stories, songs, rhymes, and play! This is a wonderful opportunity for kids to interact with kids and caregivers to chat with other adults. We are kicking off the Summer Library Program (SLP) teen events with The Art of Face Painting with Kara O'Hearn of Prismatic Sparkles! Stop into the Library on Monday, June 8 at 1:00 pm to learn the basic of face painting, practice their skills, and show their creativity. Anyone in grades 6-12 (going into those grades in the fall) is welcome, no library card or registration required. Summer vacation is almost here and we are getting started with a Kickoff to Summer Bash with Barry County Substance Abuse Task Force! Stop by the Library between 11:30 and 1:30 on Friday, May 29 to enjoy pizza, water, popsicles, games, crafts, music, and more! Everyone is welcome; youth under the age of 9 must be accompanied by someone 13 or older. Free Summer Boredom Buster Books will be available - one per youth. Join us, starting Saturday, for engaging discussions on generative AI, financial scams, journalism, misinformation, and practical ways to navigate the digital world.
Programs feature guest speakers Rue Sparks, David Edelman, Robert Prince, and Union Bank representatives, with sessions running from May through September.
Whether you want to better understand AI, protect yourself from scams, or learn how news and information shape our world, there’s something for everyone.
