On April 7, 2026, at approximately 1632 hours, this agency was requested to assist the Pennsylvania State Police with a motor vehicle accident in East Carroll Township along Beech Road. It was reported that the driver had fled the scene and was combative with fire and EMS personnel.

Upon arrival, the driver had already been subdued and was receiving medical treatment from EMS personnel. Further investigation determined that the accident occurred within Elder Township. At that time, this agency assumed responsibility for the investigation from the Pennsylvania State Police.

Two witnesses were interviewed and reported observing the crash. Both indicated that the driver was operating the vehicle in a careless manner and traveled through a field prior to the crash. One witness further stated that the driver forced them off the roadway, nearly causing a collision.

This agency extends its appreciation to the Patton Fire Company No. 1 and Hastings Area Ambulance for their assistance.

This case remains under investigation.
