Fire Inspector Nolan and Risk Reduction Officer Murphy have had a busy week, part of which was partnering with Flanders Provision and Thermo King to provide their employees with annual fire extinguisher training! We value these partnerships in our community!

As we approach the Independence Day holiday, please remember the legal hours for selling and igniting fireworks in Hastings:

June 28 – July 2: 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
July 3 – July 4: 10 a.m. to midnight

Assistant Chief Curtis Hensley was all wet during the Mentors Making Waves fundraiser for local mentoring organizations! The event will be happening near the Chautauqua Park pavilion until 9 p.m.

We may not have won the Battle of the Badges - the final count was 70 to 55 in favor of the Hastings Police Department - Nebraska - but the support shown by the community, including staff, for blood donation in Hastings was very impressive!
