Community input is helping shape the future of the Hastings Skatepark! 🛹

Last night, we held our second community input session for the Hastings Skatepark project, bringing community members together with the Rotary Skatepark Committee, the City of Hastings, and Grindline Skateparks to review the developing concept, ask questions, share feedback, and help us think through how this space can best serve our community.

This project is about more than concrete and ramps. It’s about creating a welcoming community space for kids, teens, families, and people of all ages—and making sure the people who will use it have a voice in what we build.

Thank you to everyone who has shown up, shared ideas, asked questions, and helped move this project forward. Your input matters, and we’re excited to keep building on it as the design develops.

This is what SAY YES looks like—listening, collaborating, and working together to invest in our community.

This Wednesday: come see the design for the new Hastings Skatepark!

Grindline Skateparks took everything you told us in July and turned it into a real design. Now we want to know: did we get it right?

Stop by Leason Sharpe Hall this Wednesday to see the plans up close, tell us what you love, and help shape the final vision. Riders, parents, neighbors, and curious community members are all welcome, and there's free food and drinks.

đź“… Wednesday, Sept 23 | 6:00-7:00 PM
đź“Ť Leason Sharpe Hall, 231 S Broadway, Hastings
âś… Scan the QR code on the flyer or RSVP at [link] so we can plan food and supplies

đź’¬ Can't make it, or want to share more? We're collecting stories about what the skatepark has meant to you, your family, or Hastings. Bring yours Wednesday or email it to [email protected]. Your story will help us make the case for funding this project.

The skatepark belongs to the people who use it. Come help shape it. 🙌

Come see the design!

Grindline Skateparks has created a design for the new Hastings Skatepark based off feedback from the first community input session in July.

Join the Hastings Rotary Club and the City of Hastings to see the design, share your feedback, and help shape the final vision.

Riders, families, neighbors, and community members of all ages are welcome.

We’re also collecting testimonials about what the Hastings Skatepark has meant to you, your family, or our community to help support future fundraising efforts. Bring your story to the event or email it to [email protected] — your voice can help us make the new skatepark a reality.

Fellowship and service came together at last week’s 5:01 gathering!

Hastings Rotarians and Kiwanians gathered to celebrate the success of the summer concert series—and the contributions both clubs made by working the concessions at the Plaza.

We also turned the evening into an opportunity to support local students. Together, club members assembled 100 hygiene packs for Hastings schools, made possible through donations from both clubs.

It was a wonderful reminder of what we can accomplish when community organizations join forces. Thank you to everyone who helped make the concert series and this service project a success!
