A water department crew responded at 10:56 a.m. to a main break affecting the 300 block of South Denver Avenue.

A water crew responded at 9 a.m. to a main break at Central Community College.

Our water construction crews are working to replace the service line on Second Street between Hastings and Denver Avenues, including cleaning out the area around the stop box here. Temporary service was restored overnight Tuesday. Over time, the copper service line running underneath Second Street has become dented and filled with pinholes. The replacement line will be plastic and should be installed as the copper line is pulled out. This should be completed by end of the day.

***Update*** The electric distribution crew found a blown arrester. Power was restored to Hastings High School at 1:28 p.m.

An electric distribution crew responded at 12:50 p.m. to an outage affecting Hastings High School. A transformer near HHS blew, which caused a circuit breaker to cycle open/closed. Most of the nearby customers experienced a very brief disruption in power.

An electric distribution crew completed an outage at 10:25 a.m. that affected an area including Bateman and 8th Streets between Laird and N Barnes Avenues. The outage was caused by a squirrel.
