FULL-TIME ROAD WORKER

The Barry County Road Commission has an excellent opportunity for a Road Worker. We are seeking skilled, qualified applicants to fill the position. Preferred applicants would have 2+ years of experience, a high school diploma or GED, a Michigan Commercial Driver’s License with A&N endorsements & current Medical Card. This is a full-time position with a starting pay rate of $27.36/hour and a competitive benefits package. A valid Michigan Driver’s license, a criminal background check, and a pre-employment drug screen are required.

FULL CHIP SEAL
Indian Hills subdivision

FOG SEAL
You will not be able to drive on these roads for 30 minutes after we apply the seal. We will be working our way through the following roads in this order starting at 8:30 am.

Oak Drive
Acker Point Drive
Podunk Lake Drive
Loers Landing Drive
Hathaway Court
Dakota Trail

ATTENTION INDIAN HILLS RESIDENTS - - - -
Our contractor will be finishing the base course of asphalt in the next couple of hours. They intend to be back midmorning tomorrow to place the top course. You can expect some additional delays tomorrow during the day and into the evening as they will try to finish tomorrow. Please leave early for appointments and know that it could take you a bit longer to get to your house. Top course is a bit more finicky as you obviously dont paving over it so travel times will be a bit longer than today to assure the final product is up to our standards. Thank you!!!

ATTENTION OAK DR RESIDENTS - - - - As your special assessment project gets ready for paving, the contractor was able to finish up a prior project early today and they intend to start paving at the far end of Oak Dr TODAY. They will finish the base course on the back half tomorrow morning and place the top course all the way out to Parker Rd on Monday. Please leave early for appointments as there will be delays. We apologize for the late notice but if they can get out of your way quicker we always try to allow that. Thank you for your cooperation.

ATTENTION INDIAN HILLS SUB- - - -
As part of your special assessment paving project we will be paving the base course of asphalt tomorrow (Thursday - 8-13) and are scheduled to pave the top course Friday. Please be sure to leave early for appointments as there will be delays. They will maintain access with the exception of the paver being directly in front of your driveway. But leaving a bit early will assure you’re not late. Please turn off all lawn sprinkler no for the day. Restoration will occur next week. Thank you!
