Starting Tuesday November 4th, SNAP/WIC card holders are welcome to join us Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 4-8pm for meal free of charge. Please consider making reservations in advance by calling 215-646-1788. We hope to see you next week and please spread the word!

Because the federal government failed to pass a budget, causing the federal government shutdown, November 2025 SNAP benefits cannot be paid. Starting October 16, SNAP benefits will not be paid until the federal government shutdown ends and funds are released to PA. The PA Department of Human Services will notify SNAP recipients when payments can resume, and they will let you know when to expect SNAP payments.

If you are receiving SNAP, please remember that you are still responsible for completing renewals and reporting any changes to your income, contact information, or the people living in your home during the shutdown. SNAP recipients should also remember changes mandated by the federal government that will take effect November 1 and report their work, schooling, or volunteer participation to DHS.

As the school year comes to a close, the Borough of Hatboro is honoring a teacher who goes above and beyond for their students, colleagues, and our community as a whole. We are asking for residents to nominate their favorite local teacher to be recognized by the Borough and win a 2025 Pool Membership! In order to qualify, the teacher must meet at least one of the below criteria:

1. Teacher must teach at Hatboro Horsham School District
2. Teacher must teach within the Borough of Hatboro (including any pre-school and daycare teachers)
3. Teacher must live within the Borough of Hatboro itself but teachers for a district other than Hatboro Horsham

I felt honored to be invited to read to the 4th graders at Crooked Billet today and contribute to their March madness book bracket! I hope Pocket Full of Colors secures the win!! My gratitude goes to the teachers and students for creating a memorable experience!
