South winds 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 45 mph expected.

* WHERE...Portions of east central, northeast, south central, and
southeast Kentucky.

* WHEN...From midnight tonight to 8 AM EDT Monday.

* IMPACTS...Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree
limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.
Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high
profile vehicles. Use extra caution.

Critical fire weather conditions are now likely this afternoon and
a Red Flag Warning has been issued. Any fires that develop will
likely spread rapidly. Please refer to the Red Flag Warning for
further details.

Remember that Kentucky regulations make it illegal to burn between
the hours of 6 AM and 6 PM within 150 feet of any woodland or
brushland during the Spring Forest Fire Season.

At 812 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from Emmalena to Mallie to Sackett to Premium to
Gordon. Movement was east at 55 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Pikeville, Whitesburg, Hindman, Letcher, Bath, Cumberland, Jenkins,
Coal Run Village, Elkhorn City, Wheelwright, Fleming-Neon, Pippa
Passes, Wayland, Blackey, Elic, Cody, Van, Carr Creek, Colly, and
Emmalena.

THIS INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING HIGHWAYS...
Kentucky Highway 80 in Knott County near mile marker 1, and between
mile markers 3 and 12.
Kentucky Highway 80 in Perry County between mile markers 14 and 15.
U.S. Highway 119 in Pike County between mile markers 1 and 7.
U.S. Highway 23 in Lethcher County between mile markers 1 and 7.
U.S. Highway 23 in Pike County between mile markers 0 and 28.
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

extending from Meally to Endicott to Printer to Drift to Demo, moving
east at 50 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts.

IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

total snow accumulations of 1 to 2 inches for most locations, with
locally higher amounts possible. Accumulations up to 6 inches are
possible above 3000 feet elevation.

* WHERE...Portions of northeast and southeast Kentucky.

* WHEN...Until 7 PM EST Monday.

* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions and significant
differences in road conditions at times. The hazardous conditions
could impact the Monday morning and evening commutes.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Wind gusts as high as 20 to 30 mph in the
heavier snow showers, combined with the falling snow may cause
sudden visibility reductions, mainly this evening and on Monday.
Slow down and use caution while traveling.

hours Sunday and Monday.

Areas of wet snow are expected to affect the area into the predawn
hours of Wednesday. Accumulations of a dusting to generally less
than an inch are anticipated.

Those traveling should prepare for possible hazardous travel
conditions and quickly changing visibilities, and allow extra
time to reach your destination.

Snow. Storm total snow accumulations of 2 to 5 inches
expected for most locations with isolated higher totals nearing 6
inches possible, primarily above 1,500 feet. Lower totals of 1 to
2 inches are forecast in Pike County northwest of Pikeville to
South Williamson line.

* WHERE...Harlan, Letcher, and Pike Counties.

* WHEN...Until 4 PM EST Saturday.

* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous
conditions could impact the Friday evening commute.
If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in
your vehicle in case of an emergency.
