It’s been a busy summer!! We’ve had Cadets in Air Assault, Airborne, and Cadet Summer Training! Challenges overcome and goals achieved! We are ready to start the 26-27 school year strong.

🦅 We will be running the rock to commemorate the 25th memorial anniversary of 9-11.
🦅 For our first USM home game, we will be partnering with Alcorn State ROTC to run the game ball from ASU into the Screaming Eagles Pep Rally a total of 78 miles!

Stay tuned for what the Golden Eagle Battalion will do!!

Today, Southern Miss celebrated a new partnership between our College of Nursing and Health Professions and the Army and Air Force ROTC programs to help address the growing need for military nurses.

The partnership is formalized through a memorandum of understanding that creates a pathway for ROTC cadets to pursue a nursing degree at Southern Miss. The agreement reserves spots each year in the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program for up to five Army ROTC cadets and three Air Force ROTC cadets, provided they meet all admission requirements.

By combining the strengths of nursing education and ROTC training, the pathway prepares graduates who are ready to serve their country.
