Christian Services, Inc.

Christian Services, Inc. "Do nothing from selfish or empty conceit..." Philippians 2:3-4 Christian Services, Inc. We are a member agency of the United Way of Southeast MS.

is a multi-faceted ministry where people can come together from individual churches and organizations to demonstrate love to a world of people who are in bondage to poverty, anger, frustration, and loneliness. For some, CSI offers an environment to separate from old lifestyles while they learn new values and habits. For others, it is a place where values and conduct are continually being lifted up

as an example to those who have been confused and/or misled. CSI is a tax-exempt non-profit organization supported by voluntary contributions. Our Mission and Vision:
To Show God's Love by loving people, saving the lost, healing the hurt, & strengthening the saved through speaking His words, using His gifts, & reflecting His love.

What an incredible night!

Our Christian Services Annual Banquet was such a blessing, and we are so thankful for every person who came out to celebrate with us, support this ministry, and hear about all that God is doing through Christian Services. Looking around that room and seeing so many friends, partners, volunteers, and supporters reminded us once again that we could never do what we do alone.

A special thank you to our keynote speaker, Mitchell Williams, for bringing such a powerful and timely word. Thank you to Charles “The One Man Band” Carter for sharing his gift with us through music and leading us into a wonderful time of worship. Thank you to Emanuel Meteau for praying over all of us as well! God was in the room indeed!

We also want to thank Lil Butcher Shoppe for blessing us with an amazing meal, and Fishers Landscaping, on behalf of Drs. George and Debbie Azar, for providing the beautiful plants and flowers that helped make the room look incredible.

And to the many volunteers who worked behind the scenes setting up, decorating, serving, cleaning, preparing, and doing countless other things to make the evening possible thank you! Your servant hearts are such an important part of this ministry.

Most of all, we give God all the glory. For more than four decades, He has continued to provide, open doors, send people, and allow Christian Services to serve those in need throughout our community.

Thank you to everyone who joined us. We are grateful for where God has brought us, but we are even more excited about where He is taking us next.

The best is still ahead!

Student Highlight

A Story of Grace and Restoration
By Jamie McCoy Jr.

I grew up in a loving home and knew from a young age that God had a calling on my life. Unfortunately, I spent many years running from that calling instead of embracing it. During those years, I experienced a lot of pain and hardship. Family members passed away, relationships failed, and I found myself constantly getting into trouble at school.

At just 13 years old, I began using ma*****na as a way to cope with the hurt and confusion I felt, especially after my parents divorced. Those choices eventually led me into gang life and heavy drinking. By the age of 17, I had dropped out of school. I was working and trying to earn my GED, but I struggled to focus and move forward. Looking back, I can see that I was trying to build a life while ignoring God's purpose for me.
When I was 18 years old, my first daughter was born. Her birth was a turning point in my life. I gave my life to the Lord and wanted to make changes, but walking away from the gang lifestyle was not easy. The decisions I had made during that season eventually led to my arrest at age 19, and I spent three months in jail.

Even after that experience, I continued to battle the pull of my old life. I returned to drinking heavily and made choices that ultimately cost me my relationship with my former partner and my two daughters. Later, I met the woman who is now my wife. Although I was still struggling with addiction and depression, she stood by me for a season. Eventually, she reached a point where she gave me an ultimatum: her or the substances. Thankfully, I chose her.

Together we built a family and welcomed three more children into our lives. For a while, things went well, but the cycle of good intentions followed by failure continued. My life became a roller coaster of progress and setbacks. Yet through it all, God never removed His hand from me or my family. Even in my darkest moments, He remained faithful.
Deep down, I knew that the substances I was using did not define who I was. I also knew that I could not overcome my struggles on my own. The Lord made it clear to me that I needed help. I reached out to my pastor, L.C. Barnes, and shared where I was in life. During that conversation, his wife told me about her son, who had completed the Liberty Ministries program and was doing well. Through their encouragement and support, I was connected with Liberty Ministries.

I cannot fully express how grateful I am for that opportunity.
Since entering the program, I have gained structure, maturity, and stability. More importantly, I have grown closer to God and built a solid spiritual foundation. Liberty Ministries has helped me recognize the areas of my life that needed healing and change. It has also helped me learn how to love myself in a healthy way and see myself the way God sees me.
I am incredibly thankful for Liberty Ministries and for every person who has invested in my life while I have been here. My prayer is that God will continue to bless this ministry, its staff, supporters, and every future student who walks through its doors.

My life has been forever changed, and I give God all the glory.

A message from Seeds of Hope:

Seeds of Hope Family,

Our corn harvest is quickly approaching and is expected to begin in approximately 8–12 days. As we prepare to gather this crop that will help feed thousands of food-insecure families, we are asking for your prayers and support.

Jesus said in Luke 10:2, “The harvest truly is great, but the laborers are few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that He would send forth laborers into His harvest.”

If you are able, we ask you to volunteer and join us in this ministry opportunity. Whether you can help for a few hours or several days, your time can make a tremendous difference in getting food to families in need.

Whether you are able to volunteer or not, we ask that you please join us in praying that God will send willing workers into His harvest and provide the strength, safety, and resources needed for this effort.

To our food bank partners, we kindly ask that you share this message and encourage your volunteers to come serve alongside us during the harvest. Together, we can be the hands and feet of Christ as we gather food for those in need.

Thank you for your help, your prayers, and your partnership. We plant, God gives the increase, volunteers harvest, and families are fed.

Summer Serve! Our program team has developed an active schedule throughout the summer including cooking classes, tutoring, fun activities, and once-a-week service projects. Today, a number of our staff and residents went to Christian Services, Inc. to help prepare over 600 meals for meals on wheels and for in-person service. It was an amazing day!
