** COME JOIN US AND BE A PART OF THE MOVEMENT and PLEASE SHARE ** for the 12th Annual Angela's House Walk Fundraiser & Community Celebration on Sunday, October 4th at the Holtsville Ecology Center, and this year we’re making it a day that’s about so much more than walking! We’re planning a fun-filled family day with carnival games, a DJ Dance Party, face painting, delicious food, and plenty of activities for everyone to enjoy! 🎪🎶🎨

Self-reflection is a reminder to recognize your own value. You are worthy, you matter, and your presence makes a meaningful difference. Life will bring challenges, disappointments, and difficult seasons, but none of them diminish who you are or what you deserve. Do not allow temporary struggles to convince you that you are less important than you truly are. Hold on to your worth because you count, and you matter greatly.
If climbing out of a deep hole feels too difficult, you do not have to do it alone. Reach out to a trusted friend, loved one, counselor, or caring professional who can support you and help you take that first step forward.

Voices for the Medically Fragile of New York (VFMF) stands with disability advocates across the country today in sharing our concerns following the decision in Texas v. Kennedy vacating the community integration requirements contained in the 2024 Section 504 rule.

For medically fragile children and people with disabilities, access to the services and supports needed to remain safely at home and in their communities matters deeply.

While longstanding protections under Section 504, the ADA, and Olmstead v. L.C. remain in place, the loss of these community integration requirements is concerning for families who already face significant barriers accessing adequate home- and community-based services.

VFMF will continue to advocate for policies that strengthen community-based care and ensure medically fragile children and their families have the supports they need to remain together at home.

Our families belong in their communities, and their voices belong in these conversations.
