🚨 Traffic Alert for Haverhill Families 🚨

Hey Haverhill families, we wanted to share an important traffic alert that will be in effect until later this evening.

Consentino Middle School and Silver Hill Elementary School are hosting their Back to School Open Houses today in conjunction with State Primary voting. Heavy delays are expected in the surrounding neighborhood.

If you can avoid the area, it may be best. If you are visiting either school or heading to the polls, please use extra caution and plan for extra time.

We truly appreciate everyone’s patience and cooperation as we keep our school communities safe!

As we kick off the new school year, here are a few key details to keep in mind regarding school bus transportation:

⏱️ Expect First-Week Delays: Please expect potential bus delays during the first week as our drivers and students adjust to new routes and routines.

📞 Bus Inquiries: To keep phone lines clear for emergencies, please hold off on calling the transportation office unless your bus is more than 10 minutes late.

📧 Transportation Eligibility: Emails have been sent to families whose children qualify for bus transportation. If you haven't seen yours yet, please check your spam or junk folder.

📍 Big Bus Routes: Full route details for big buses are available now directly on the Haverhill Public Schools website!

🌙 Night-before-school checklist: Set up tomorrow for success! 🎒✨

The night before the first day of school can bring a mix of excitement and butterflies! Taking a few simple steps tonight will help make tomorrow morning smooth, stress-free, and full of great energy:

🎒 Pack the backpack tonight
Double-check that all supplies, signed forms, fully charged devices, and water bottles are zipped inside and waiting right by the door.

Outfit Lay out tomorrow’s outfit
Pick out clothes, socks, and shoes tonight (including a backup option!) so there's no morning decision fatigue or last-minute searching.

⏰ Set an extra alarm
Give your family a 10-to-15-minute time buffer in the morning. A relaxed start sets a positive tone for the whole day!

🥗 Prep breakfast & lunch
Plan an easy, protein-packed breakfast and have lunches or snack bags packed and ready in the fridge.

😴 Wind down early
Turn off screens at least 30 to 60 minutes before bedtime. Cozy up with a book or chat about what everyone is looking forward to tomorrow to help calm any night-before jitters.

We loved seeing so many of our dedicated staff and students stay busy while continuing their educational journeys through our engaging summer programs.

The official 2026-2027 School Bus Routes & Schedules are ready! Please take a moment today to review your child’s pickup/drop-off times and bus stop locations to ensure a smooth transition for morning one.

🗳️ Since tonight also coincides with the State Primary Election, several of our school buildings will serve as active voting locations.

🚗⚠️ Whether you plan to vote or not, please note that there will be extra activity and increased traffic around the following school buildings:
