We love fall campaign foliage! 🍂 There are 12 days to go until the election and Haverhill Democrats are leaving it all on the field. Last weekend alone, we knocked over 150 doors in Haverhill for a few of our down-ballot candidates: Dustin Vigneault and Rachael Booth for the NH House, Rusty Talbot for the State Senate, and Karen Liot Hill for Executive Council.

Check out the NH Secretary of State’s Website for your Sept. 10th Ballot - specific to your town, city or ward - by following this link:

When you get to the SoS landing page, click on the “State Primary” box and the “Democratic Party” box, and a drop down menu by Town/City will appear. Click the small arrow on the right side of the “Select Town/City/Ward” box and page down to your residence location. Then click on the “Sample Ballot” box/button. And your sample ballot populates!

When will you vote?
Have you checked the sample ballot for your town? Do you know the candidates on your ballot?
Will you vote all the way down the ballot?

Remember, if you DO NOT live in Lebanon, Hanover or Enfield, you will also be voting for your county commissioner: Martha McLeod is running for District 2 and Katie Wood Hedberg is running for District 3. Check the county commissioner map further down. County commissioners are elected on a rotating basis so there is no county commissioner election in District 1 this year. Please vote all the way to the bottom of the ballot –– our county candidates need your vote!

When you get to the Secretary of State landing page:
1. Select your TOWN, STREET and STREET NUMBER, and unless you are a robot, click 'I AM NOT A ROBOT' and click SEARCH.
2. Choose the polling address for September 10. (There may be other election dates on your town list.)
3. Click the link for the sample ballot under the September 10 location and hours.
4. Click DEMOCRATIC on the sample ballot search page, choose your town and click SAMPLE BALLOT.

New Hampshire has same-day voter registration at the polls so if you aren't registered, you can register when you go to vote. Click here for more details.

🚨 Candidate introductions!!! 🚨

Did you know Haverhill helps elect not one, but two representatives to the NH House of Representatives? That’s the lower chamber of our state legislature, where state policy on everything from education to healthcare is made. Rachael and Dustin are running to protect and improve our public schools, protect reproductive freedom, and bring much needed property tax relief to Haverhill and the other towns in our NH House district: Benton, Landaff, Piermont, and Warren.

Last election, the majority in the NH House was decided by only two seats. Some of those seats were won by as little as one vote. This year, we can’t take any race for granted.

Another day getting organized and excited for our local candidates! 🇺🇸🌟💙 This time in Benton, one of the four towns with which Haverhill shares its statehouse district, Grafton District 5. Featuring some local specialties: beautiful views and wildlife. 🦎

With running for State Senate District 1, running for Grafton County Commission, and two strong candidates filing to run for Grafton District 5 (stay tuned for intros…), Haverhill will have excellent choices up and down the ballot this fall. We had such a great time hosting Democrats from across Haverhill’s statehouse district last night! 🤩 Haverhill is an amazing community that we are lucky to call home. It deserves focused, locally rooted representation in Concord - and its voters shouldn’t be taken for granted by either party.

Everyone in Haverhill knows our property taxes are too high - but not everyone knows the state’s failure to adequately support school districts like ours is a huge reason why.
