Water main repair. Residents in the area of Lafayette St from Young to Market and the area of Market from Commerce to Alliance will be without water service from 9am to noon, today, April 20, 2019.

This is a message for the residents and businesses located in the area of Market Street and Washington Street, between Alliance and Congress Avenue. BGE Gas Line contractors will be working in your area beginning Monday, April 3rd through Friday, April 7th. Please pay attention to the parking restrictions posted while this work is being completed. Please call the Project Manager at 845-234-0835 should you have any questions.
Attention: This is an important message from the City of Havre de Grace, Department of Public Works. Beginning at 10pm, Thursday, March 30th, Contractors will be installing the final water main valve connection for the Scenic Manor Development. As this connection is being made, you may be without water service. Their work should be completed by 5am, Friday, March 31st, followed by City staff flushing the hydrants in the area to help clear the lines. You may see discolored water or air in your line. Please run the COLD water faucet for a few moments until the water runs clear. Please call City Hall at 410-939-1800 should you have any questions. Thank you.
Trash Collection Schedule -vs - the Big Snow Storm.
Here you go - there will be NO Trash Collection Tuesday. The schedule will shift one day. Tuesday collections move to Wednesday, Wednesday collections move to Thursday.
Recyclables will be collected on Friday. No Yard Waste or Bulk collections this week.
Attention Residents of the 500 and 600 blocks of Market Street - The contractor for BGE will be doing work in your area tomorrow, March 11th and will return to complete the work the week of March 13-17. Signs will be posted about parking restrictions while this work is being done. Please follow the schedule as posted. Should you have any questions, please call the Project Supervisor at 845-234-0835. Thank you for your patience as the old gas lines are replaced with new pipes.
Attention: The Water Main Break has been repaired on Village Drive within the Bradford Green community. As you turn on your water faucet, you may see discolored water. Please just run the COLD water faucet for a few moments until the water runs clear. We thank you for your patience. Please call City Hall should you have any questions at 410-939-1800.
Attention: The Department of Public Works is repairing a broken water main in the area of Bradford Green on Village Drive. You will be without water service until the break is located and then repaired. We apologize for the inconvenience. Again, Battery Drive and Village Drive will be without water service as crews are currently on site repairing a water main break. Please call City Hall at 410-939-1800 should you have any questions.

Light items on the bottom, heavier items on top - then consider adding a heavy rock, piece of wood, a brick ~ any of these have been used successfully according to our thoughtful citizens.
Out with the old - In with the new! A bit of an inconvenience - but it will be worth it to you.
Today BGE has started an extensive gas line replacement project in the City. It will be in three phases: phase one will last up to 9 Months, the next two phases will last a couple of years. They are up grading the Low Pressure Gas Lines with High Pressure Lines. Work will be scheduled Monday through Friday, 7 am to 5 pm, no weekends. Expect delays. Flaggers will be on the job site. Please use caution in the work area.
You will see their signs around town letting you know where you can/cannot park while work is being done.
On Wednesday, January 25, 2017 from 8am to 2pm
the 200 block of N. Stokes Street (located between Green Street and Pennington Avenue) will be closed due to a new water main valve install project.
Residents will be without water service during this time. Please call City Hall at 410-939-1800 should you have any questions.
BGE is paving the following streets in town:
400 block of Congress
100 and 200 blocks of South Washington Street
400 block of Fountain Street
200 block of Market Street
Flaggers are on site, they are paving the entire roadway, it's open to traffic in the over night hours, except 200 Market Street. Market should be completed tomorrow afternoon, this is where we had a large water main break and it broke up the roadway, it's under repairs. Try to avoid the area's if possible, units needing to get to 300 Market South should use Union Ave to Fountain or farther South during the day work hours.

Water Service from the west of Goforth Drive to the traffic circle at Bulle Rock Boulevard will be turned off. This water service shut-off will effect residents of Oak Tree Drive, # 5 fire house and a few homes on Chapel Road west of Canvasback Drive. When water service returns, please run the COLD water faucet for a few minutes until the water runs clear. Thank you for your patience as this new valve is being installed . Water main break on Hunter Court in Grace Harbor. DPW Crew is on-site fixing the break. You may be without water service on Hunter court until approximately 8:00 pm this evening. Thank you for your patience.
Just a reminder - trash is collected as usal this week and next. As Christmas DAY and New Year's DAY both fall on a Sunday this year, the trash collection schedule is not impacted. If you forgot, remember that Recycle Day is Thursday... so get those boxes and other recyclables ready for Thursday's collection.
Only change this week and next: No Bulk collections.
When the holidays are over - what do you do with your live Christmas Tree? For those receiving City Trash Collection Service, you may place the Christmas Tree out for Yard Waste Collection on Fridays. Those of you living in apartments, condos or gated neighborhoods should check with your service provider.
As the temperatures drop and snow begins to fall, remember your elderly and/or disabled neighbors who may have trouble shoveling snow. Neighbor helping neighbor says a lot about our community. Please lend a hand this winter season.
