100% clean beauty!
At 57, I prefer sheer makeup over the full, powdery coverage I used to love in my 20s and 30s. I pick my battles and choose to let some “faults” like hyperpigmentation show through. It looks more natural, just softened. Otherwise, I’ll have makeup settling into fine lines, which to my eye, looks much worse.

What does a more natural looking makeup look like? THIS! It’s a full face with lashes and it sometimes takes just as long as a glam look.
It’s wedding day for this brilliant young doctor. She may look like a youngster, but I assure you she is well into her residency at UNCCH! I have the best clients! ❤️💕
I was also SO happy to work at a venue that espouses the same ethos (sustainability, green as possible, etc) as I do. Just lovely.

This beautiful woman was a beauty queen! Just look at those cheekbones!!! Her daughter has the same high cheekbones which means she has natural shadows under them that create dimension—not everyone needs or wants contouring. Mom is a true makeup minimalist, so I kept everything light-handed so skin looks like skin (always in style).
The rain subsided and the sun is shining for the grandson/son’s wedding.

This group of amazing women —MIT grads, doctors, scientists and those recently “let go” by our government were such a pleasure to work with. Beauty and brains. Gotta love it!
For the bride we went with warm caramels, gold shimmer and peach for her warm late summer wedding look.
For some, who don’t wear makeup, I went very light so they didn’t feel awkward. I always want the client to feel comfortable and happy.

She said she was nervous before we met at Ulta. Her 50th HS reunion 😳 was coming up and she needed makeup lessons. The makeup she did own was old and dark.
Back at her house, we took it step by step with the basics and she carefully tucked her new makeup into the sections of her travel kit. By the end, we were laughing and sharing stories.
She said she would practice and I said I was only a phone call away!

Getting ready for a wedding! A mother and daughter with very similar coloring, the daughter being less tan than mom, who brought a natural bronze glow to work with. Skin that looks natural without heaviness created in thin layers with products that can also hold up to the heat and humidity that comes in the afternoon. I hope they both have a wonderful time seeing their son/brother tie the knot!
