State Health Insurance Assistance Program (SHIP) - is a statewide program that provides free and objective counseling and assistance to people with questions or problems regarding Medicare and other related health insurances. Long-Term Care Ombudsman - established under the Older Americans Act, the Kentucky Long-Term Care Ombudsman program operates out of the 15 Area Development Districts through their Area Agencies on Aging and Independent Living.
