Just a friendly reminder that while burning is still allowed, it also requires permits from both North Coast Unified Air Quality Management District, and Cal Fire. Here are the links to both of those sites. The NCUAQMD permit is $20 per calendar year for the standard permit. The Cal Fire permit is free.
It takes very minimal time to apply and receive both permits, about 15-20 minutes total. Cal Fire, USFS, and all of the local departments are working together to help educate everyone to make sure that burning is done in a safe manner, and please understand, all of the agencies fully support fuels reduction.
