Mrs. Peeples brought the maroon and Bobcats, so Mr. Puckett answered with plenty of burnt orange and Longhorn spirit! 😂 The friendly rivalry is officially in full swing at Hawkins Elementary! Now there’s only one thing left to do…see how this historic matchup ends on Saturday! 🏈👀

Thank you to our staff and students for joining in the fun and sharing our excitement this week. No matter which side you’re cheering for, one thing we can ALL agree on—Texas State and UT are both great schools with plenty to be proud of! ❤️🧡

Summer Learning BINGO Challenge

We are excited to celebrate our Hawks who completed the Summer BINGO Learning Challenge cards and returned them to school. Their hard work paid off with some pretty awesome LEGO sets!

We are proud of these Hawks for taking the extra step to read, practice math, and continue learning throughout the summer. A special thank you to their families for encouraging and supporting them along the way.

Congratulations, Hawks! We hope you have as much fun building with your prizes as you did building your skills this summer!

Alright, Mr. Puckett… you’ve officially just took this friendly rivalry to another level. 😂

While Mrs. Peeples was away at training today, Mr. Puckett and a few of his fellow UT fans took the opportunity to decorate her office in burnt orange. The disrespect! 🤦‍♀️😂

Apparently, Team Longhorn is feeling pretty confident.
