Just a little update from our family. We have settled into our new home in East Texas over a year now. Where we live is a gated 3000 acre HOA with lots of deer and best of all 5 lakes. Dori and I fish from our Ranger Boat about 2 days per week. The big lake here is only 1 block from our home. Lake Fork is 20 minutes.
Dori volunteers as secretary of the Womens Guild and makes coffee at 8 AM every Sunday for the band. Currently I serve on our lakes work group, commissioner of our emergency district, Director of TWA and Texas Brigades board.
We are so fortunate to have met many great people and couples to enjoy dinner with.
My mom is doing well at 92 years and Jennifer and her family are only 90 minutes away.

The RRR Ranch was named after my grandfather Robert R. Rickard. This Thanksgiving we are reflecting on how blessed we were to live and run the ranch for 24 years. We always endeavored to follow good conservation practices and open the ranch for educational field days, youth and first time hunters and many Christian youth ministries. We are most thankful today for having the opportunity to see over 100 youth smile at their first or second big game harvest. Two very memorable hunts were a local man that had lost his sight and a blind Marine. Using new technology each was able to harvest a deer. Having my mom get her first deer, a nice buck, at age 85 was a very exciting day. In October after much thought-- and we were not getting younger-- it seemed best to sell the ranch to a new energetic family ready to carry on the history. This is our first Thanksgiving not at the RRR in many years and we feel good about what God has in store for this next season in our life. Ws never imagined living in East Texas, but Holly Lake Ranch with 4 private lakes, nature trails and lots of activities, is our forever home. God bless each of you this special day. Enjoy the a partial list of photos I had on my phone. Feel free to post any memories and photos you might have. This page will serve as the historical moments for many years. Please tag
