I am overwhelmed by the support that I received for my run for the Hawthorne Board of Education. I am excited about being elected and look forward to serving on the board for the next 3 years. I would like to thank my wife Krissy and my kids Nicole, Jared and Kylie for supporting me in my decision to run. I love you all. Additionally, I would like to thank some people who volunteered their time and energy in supporting me during my campaign: Teresa Magna, Camille Ellerbrook, Johanna Burke, Liz Momee Elwood, Alnetta Hooper, Amie Ingunza, Liz Massie and the many others that helped working behind the scenes. Finally I would like to thank the Hawthorne Community for coming out and voting and having the confidence in me to cast your vote for Mike Sciarra. I will work hard for our children’s education and the schools while maintaining fiscal responsibility.

PS. I will be stopping to pick up the lawn signs in the next day or two. Thank you for allowing me to post them at your home.

VOTER REGISTRATION DEADLINE: Tuesday 10/14/14 is the deadline for New Jersey residents to register to vote ahead of the Nov. 4 general election.
Residents must be a United States citizen, 18 years old by Nov. 4, and a resident of the county for 30 days before the election.
