The much anticipated World Fest event is here! Come out this Saturday, September 17th to Memorial Park between the hours of 10am-6pm for a fun filled day.

World Fest is a celebration of all of the beautiful cultures that make this City a special place. Bring out your family and friends because there is something for everyone.

Come and enjoy 8 hours of live bands and performances, food trucks, adult beverage gardens, jumpers and games for kids, free goodies and resources, and much more.

Hello Hawthorne Residents,

The City of Hawthorne is hosting its first ever Touch A Truck/Children's Book Fair tomorrow Saturday, September 10, 2022 from 10am-2pm, RAIN OR SHINE!!!

The event will be held at the Betty Ainsworth Sports Center parking lot located at 3851 W. El Segundo Blvd. Hawthorne, Ca. 90250.

There will be many different heavy equipment vehicles on display and conducting demonstrations as well. In addition, there will also be vendors providing literacy resources to parents and children.

Hello Hawthorne Residents, the end of summer is quickly approaching and what better way to end the season with a movie in the park. The city of Hawthorne's Police and Community Services Departments will be hosting one last Movie Night at the Park event on Friday, September 2nd. Come out and enjoy the food trucks, jumpers, and games before the movie starts. The featured movie will be Encanto. Are you interested in having your child(ren) participate in the 1st Annual Hawthorne Police Department Basketball Academy but haven't registered?

Good news, there's still time; the registration deadline has been extended to Saturday, July 30th.

Please stop by the Hawthorne Memorial Center today (Wednesday), July 27th, or tomorrow, Thursday, July 28th between the hours of 7:30am-5:30pm to sign up.

You can also visit the Betty Ainsworth Sports Center on July 27th/29th between the hours of 3:00-10:00pm, July 28th between the hours of 3:00-8:30pm, or July 30th between the hours of 8:00am-3:00pm.

The City would like to invite you to our 2022 Bunny/Earth Day Celebration + Service Provider Fair that will be taking place on Saturday, April 9th from 10:00am to 2:00pm at the Hawthorne Memorial Park located at 3901 W. El Segundo Blvd. Hawthorne, CA. 90250.

This is a free event that you won't want to miss! We will be having games, bounce houses, food, prizes, a puppet show, and an egg hunt.

In addition, we will also be hosting paper shredding, collecting e-waste, and giving away free compost.

Come celebrate Spring and Earth Day in a fun-filled that will also teach you how to protect the world's natural resources.

Testing is being conducted at the Betty Ainsworth Sports Center Parking Lot located at 3851 W. El Segundo Blvd. Hawthorne, Ca. 90250. Reliant Health Services will be testing Tuesday - Saturday, from 9am to 4pm. Appointments are not necessary but are highly encouraged. Hello Hawthorne residents, the City's Community Services Department is proud to announce the return of Winter Wonderland.

Winter Wonderland will take place on Saturday, December 18 from 4 to 9pm. There will be carnival games, real snow and snow sledding, food, gifts, and a surprised visit by Santa himself!

Tickets for this event are as follow:
1-11 years of age are $7
12 years and older are $9
