Vehicle into home

Northern Lakes Fire crews were alerted to the area of Honeysuckle and Avalanche in Hayden this afternoon for reports of a vehicle that had crashed into a residence. Crews arrived to find a pickup style truck had crashed into the living area of the home. Crews found multiple patients on scene, one was transported to Kootenai Health with injuries. Unfortunately one patient had succumbed to their injuries prior to crew arrival. Our thoughts our with all affected from this incident.

Your Northern Lakes Professional Firefighters were alerted to a reported structure fire in the area of Ash St. in Hayden. Crews arrived to find a working basement fire and immediately began an aggressive fire attack. Interior crews simultaneously performed fire attack and searched for potential victims. Firefighters contained the blaze and all searches were reported negative. Thank you to our partners and for the mutual aid.

Your Northern Lakes Professional Firefighters on scene of a brush fire yesterday 5/11/2026.

Crews were alerted to a fire in the Thunder Ridge area of Rathdrum around 15:30. Crews arrived to find smoke and flames along the hillside. NLFD firefighters along with contained this fire to approximately a 1/4 acre.

Your Northern Lakes Professional Firefighters were called to Rathdrum Mountain this afternoon for an injured bicyclist. Members found the patient in critical condition and simultaneously performed rescue operations while providing medical care. Crews transported the patient before meeting with for further care. Thank you to Life Flight for continuing to be outstanding partners when our citizens need it most.
