April has been designated as PALS cleanup month.
Commission District Dumpster Locations:
District 1 - Hayden Town Hall - 5030 AL-160, Hayden, AL 35079
District 2 - 44312 State Hwy 79, Blountsville, AL 35031
District 3 - 6448 2ND Ave W, Oneonta, AL 35121
District 4 – in Locust Fork on Highway 79, across from Massey Auto Parts
Other Municipalities and Organizations staging community cleanups have dumpsters at the following locations:
Blountsville Townhall, 10017 Lee Street, Blountsville, AL 35031
Susan Moore Ballpark, 4443 Susan Moore Rd, Susan Moore, AL
Susan Moore Townhall, 39989 State Hwy 75, Altoona, AL 35952
Oneonta City Residents- “April Sweep” Cleanup information is as follows-
Dumpster Service- 115 Jack Fendley Avenue from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on April 15th
Shred-it services- April 8th from 9:00 a.m. to noon at the Oneonta Public Library
Electronics Recycling- April 17th to 21st from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Oneonta City Hall.
**Please don’t fill the dumpsters with large amounts of residential waste. For questions or information about PALS Cleanup please call Danette Heinrich at 205 446-2569.
**The Chamber of Commerce will offer be offering a $250 award to a winning participant- Send a photograph of yourself participating in a community cleanup, and follow the rules listed below.
Details:
Participants may email a photo to [email protected] to be entered in the raffle for a chance to win.
Each photo should have the following information: date, location, non-profit it was done for, an image of the person, and trash bags.
The Chamber of Commerce will post the photos received on their social media pages
