🎭 Calling All Young Performers! 🌟

The Hayden Youth Drama Program is back this fall! This 9-week program gives students the opportunity to explore acting, musical drama, and stage presence while building confidence, teamwork, public speaking skills, and more in a fun and encouraging environment.

🎬 For students in grades 3–6
📅 Thursdays | Sept. 17–Nov. 12
⏰ 4:00–5:00 PM
📍 Hayden Center – Pine Room

$30 per student

The program wraps up with a live performance on Thursday, Nov. 19 at 6:00 PM, giving students the chance to show off everything they've learned! 👏

Community Public Forums: Join the Conversation About Local Ballot Measures!

Community members are invited to series of public forums offering an opportunity to learn more about upcoming local ballot measures.

Come hear about ballot measures concerning Colorado Mountain College (CMC), the School District mill levy, the Fire District mill levy, and bring your questions for representatives from the respective districts.

The forums will also provide an opportunity to learn more about how the Town of Hayden is planning to reduce its property tax levy and what that could mean for local property owners.

Topics will include:
• CMC ballot measure
• School District ballot measure
• Fire District ballot measure
• The Town of Hayden’s planned property tax levy reduction

Fall Youth Dance Classes are back at the Hayden Center!

Registration is now open for our 12-week Fall Youth Dance Program! Whether your child is taking their very first class or continuing to build their skills, there's a place for dancers of all experience levels, ages 3–18.

From Creative Movement, Ballet, and Jazz to Hip-Hop, Contemporary, and Teen Modern, our classes are designed to help kids stay active, build confidence, express themselves, and make new friends in a fun and supportive environment.

Scholarships are available for Hayden families. Be sure to apply before September 1st if you'd like to be considered.

Youth Basketball is back for 2026!
Registration is opening soon for the Hayden Boys & Girls Youth Basketball Program for 3rd–6th grade students! Get ready for a fun season of learning, teamwork, and time on the court.

- $45 per player
- Games played in Hayden & Craig

Boys: Tuesdays & Thursdays
Girls: Mondays & Wednesdays

There will be no games or practices during Thanksgiving week.

Youth Dance Scholarships Available

Steamboat Dance Theatre 3rd Position (Round 1) - YOUTH Ages 3-17

What it Funds: (note this scholarship is NOT restricted to classes in Routt County)
• Dance Workshops, Intensives, or Conventions in Routt County or outside of Routt County
• Seasonal performance tuition (Only a portion of the total expense can be considered for a scholarship, as we do not fund costume expenses - please include YOUR total expense where asked on the application.)
• Non-semester-based classes (ie: Classes that are just one day or a 4-week series, etc.)
• Other Classes outside of Routt County

Application Window and Funding Periods:
(Applications are accepted for two weeks during two separate rounds)
- Round 1 is Sept 1-15, 2026
- Round 2 is March 1-15, 2027

Applications will be reviewed between the 15th of the month and the end of the month, with award notifications by the 1st of the following month. Late applications will not be considered.

For Round 1: You may apply for any workshop/classes in the present or future (up to 3 months in advance. Funding can be used for classes/workshops/seasonal performance tuition that take place between October-December 2026)

For Round 2 ONLY: You may apply for any retroactive or future workshops/classes (up to 2 months after the workshop or up to 4 months in advance. Funding can be used for classes/workshops/seasonal performance tuition that take place between Jan 2027 - July 2027)

Kids can explore the world of pottery with the Hayden Center's 2-Day Kids Handbuilding Workshops! Students will learn the basics of pinching, coiling and slab building before designing their own unique creations and returning for a second day of glazing.

🏺 Three sessions available Sept.–Dec.
- $85 per student | All materials and tools included

A minimum of 6 students is required for each workshop. Children ages 5–7 must be accompanied by an adult.
