A non-profit organization in Clay County NC, who aid families + individuals in our community who suffer from hunger by providing food assistance.

We can offer referral for other assistance, without ethnic/racial origins, religious, or political beliefs.

The Food Pantry will be open this week for both Holy Thursday and Good Friday. Thursday hours are from 4:00 pm - 6:00pm, and Friday from 9:00 am - 12:00 pm. We will be providing an assortment of hams and other meats to help with holiday dinners.

Happy New Year, we have recieved another electric stove. It’s about 6 months old and will be at the pantry next week and you will need to pick up. Please reply if you are interested.

The pantry will be closed this Thursday (New Years Day). We will be open on Friday at our normal time from 9:00 - 12:00. We wish everyone a safe and happy new year! 2026, here we come!

Special thanks to Ms. Carol and the ladies at Dove Profiles Hair Salon. For the 16th year in a row they have donated cookies to the food pantry in memory of Carol’s son Travis. His memory continues to shine on the faces of the children and parents who visit the pantry this Thursday and Friday. We have an amazing community and wish everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Just a reminder! Hunters, here is your chance to help out your less fortunate neighbors!

Venison Donation Program
In partnership with Adam Farms Processing and North Carolina Hunters for the Hungry, the Extension Venison Donation Program started September 2024 in Cherokee County in an effort to decrease food insecurity and support local food pantries.

The program expanded in 2025 to include venison donations back to Cherokee, Clay, and Graham counties with a potential reach to over 5,000 food insecure individuals.

One deer can provide approximately 200 meals.

How It Works
If you are a licensed deer hunter and you would like to donate a legally harvested deer to help decrease food insecurity in your county (Cherokee, Clay, and Graham), bring your deer to Adam Farm Processing located at 184 Stiles Packing Lane, Marble, NC this deer season. Full deer that have been field-dressed and quartered deer (preferred) are accepted for donation.

Harvest Process Donate
Once you drop off your freshly harvested deer, Adam Farms will process the deer meat into ground venison. A local food pantry will then pick the meat up for distribution to food insecure populations

This coming week we will do our Christmas / Holiday distribution. We will be open on Thursday the 18th from 4:00 - 6:00 and Friday the 19th from 9:00 - 12:00. We will be giving away hams and turkeys as well as assorted side items.

The following week we will be closed on Christmas day but open on Friday the 26th for our normal distribution.

With Christmas around the corner we are focused on serving our neighbors with food to help them them though the financial challenges of the holidays. United Community Bank in Hayesville is collecting your non perishable food donations. You can drop off your food items during regular business hours. Appreciate your support.

Greetings, hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. We helped 307 families this thanksgiving with Turkeys and Hams for the holiday.
We have been donated a full size electric stove. The stove will be at the pantry and is free to the first neighbor who needs it.

Just a reminder that we will be closed this Thursday to celebrate thanksgiving with friends and family. Friday the 28th we will be open from 9:00 - 12:00. If you have boxes from a previous visit to the pantry please bring them back as we are having a hard time getting as many as we need. Wish you all a safe and joyful Thanksgiving!

This past Thursday and Friday we helped close to 300 families with Thanksgiving turkey’s and hams along with many holiday sides. This could not have been done without the many volunteers who helped pull this together. Special thanks to Matt’s Ministry who supported us with additional volunteers. Also, shout out to all the support we received from the community with food and financial donations. Wish everyone a Happy and safe Thanksgiving!

We will be doing our Thanksgiving Holiday distribution this Thursday from 4:00 - 6:00 and on Friday from 9:00 - 12:00. If you have boxes from previous visits, please bring them so we can reuse. Also plastic grocery bags would be appreciated. Please be patient as we are expecting quite a few new neighbors for the holidays. Wish everyone a great Thanksgiving!

Many of our neighbors have not recieved SNAP (food stamp) benefits due to the Government shut down. We are here to help those in need and we are open on Thursdays from 4:00 - 6:00 and Fridays from 9:00 - 12:00. We have seen a spike in demand and our community support has increased as well. Special thanks to Still Water Farms, Carolina Mountain Trout, and The Venison Donation Program in collaboration with Adam Farm Processing and North Carolina Hunters for the Hungry for helping stock our freezer with quality meats. Our neighbors and local organizations have also helped both financially and with food donations. Thank you all!

We will do our annual Thanksgiving distribution on Thursday the 20th and Friday the 21st. We will have Turkey's, Turkey Breast and small hams, along with holiday sides. We will be closed on Thanksgiving but open on Friday the 28th. Wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving
