Clay County Transportation will be closed on Monday February 2nd, 2026 due to road conditions. Please note we follow the Clay County Government schedule for closings- all Clay County government offices with the exception of emergency personnel will be closed February 2nd.

For Monday January 26th, 2026 Clay County Transportation will be operating on a 2 hour delay. This means that all trips with a pick up time before 10am are cancelled. We hope everyone stays warm and safe.

CCT is expanding our Murphy shopping day to Tuesday's and Thursday's of each week. Popular stops include Walmart, United Grocery Outlet and Save A Lot. Reduced fare of $5.

Donation Drive! All donated items will be sent to Matts Ministries.
A drop off box will be located in the Health Department entryway. Donations open now thru December 31st.

CCT was happy to be able to send our Operations Supervisor- James Davis and Lead Driver- Don Herr to compete in the statewide driver Roadeo competition at the NC Public Transportation Association conference on April 26th. They both did an excellent job navigating the obstacle course that was set up and got to meet transit peers from across the state of NC.

Don Herr was recognized as a NCPTA Driver of the Year during the awards banquet that night. Congratulations Don!
