On Thursday April 25th, the Post Mountain Trinity Pines area had its first official wildland vegetation fire of the season. All four current Post Mountain firefighters responded and were first on scene with the 3531 fire engine. We laid out hose and made an initial attack, and stayed through until mop up that night. It was some great experience for our crew.

A wildfire was reported burning about 3:20 p.m. near Horseshoe Loop Road in the Trinity Pines area of Post Mountain off of Hwy 36 in Trinity County.
