Closed Sessions for Purchase of Private Property for Public Use | Town of Haymarket Virginia

The Council has determined that purchasing 14600 Washington Street at the offered price of $7,500,000 is not a prudent use of the Town’s resources in this time of pandemic, economic recession and falling tax revenue. If you have any questions please contact Town Hall at (703) 753-2600. https://www.townofhaymarket.org/bctowncouncil/page/closed-sessions-purchase-private-property-public-use

Dear Mayor Leake, I have found the election propaganda you (or your croneys) sent to my home to be absolutely abhorrent. Bullying your way into re-election in a town full of hardworking and well educated residents will NOT be tolerated. A theme I have noticed with those who have been serving our town is that they leave because they can no longer tolerate your behavior. So much turnover in the town is a direct reflection of your "management"... Or in this case, mismanagement. David Leake, you should be ASHAMED of the manner in which you are conducting yourself. The same applies to the people assisting your mudslinging efforts. You will not have my vote, and thank you for making your bullying behavior so apparent, that every resident now knows not to vote for you. Sincerely, A concerned resident
