Here we go! 💛❤️💙

Our annual United Way campaign is officially underway, and this year, we’re inviting Ellis County to see the bigger picture.

Across Ellis County, individuals, businesses, volunteers, and partner agencies are strengthening the network every day, responding to needs, creating opportunities, and helping our community move forward together.

The data tells us what’s happening in our community. The network of support helps us respond. And the stories behind the numbers remind us why this work matters.

September is for strengthening the workplace network, and in October, the campaign will come to life through the stories, people, and organizations making an impact across Ellis County.

Over the coming weeks, we’ll share more of what that looks like, from local businesses and volunteers stepping up to partner agencies creating impact every day.

And here’s the best part: there’s a place for everyone in strengthening the network.

We’re ready, Ellis County. Let’s do this together.

United Is The Way™

A very special thank-you to our three guest speakers, Neal Younger, Tammy Wellbrock, and Macey Pfeifer, who shared their stories with us at the Chamber kickoff luncheon. We’re grateful for their time, honesty, and willingness to help us see the impact of this work firsthand.

We are at it again! 💸💵💲

You have another chance to join the fun at Reality U on November 4th and 5th with Ellis County high school students. This hands-on money simulation shows students real-world financial scenarios. In 75 minutes, they budget for things like housing, childcare, insurance, cars, and bills based on a life scenario determined by their goals and GPA.

Volunteers help students think through their financial choices and pay bills at each station. Save the dates and watch for volunteer sign-up details coming soon. We can't wait to see you there!

The Tigers are back and they’re ready to make an impact! 🐯💛❤️💙

We had the best time connecting with students at the FHSU Back to School Picnic! From conversations about our work to students asking how they can get involved, we were reminded just how much these Tigers bring to our community.

Welcome back, Tigers! We’re excited to see the energy, ideas, and talents you’ll bring to our community this year.

Stay tuned for exciting updates on our projects with FHSU.

What does community care look like?

Sometimes, it looks like a warm meal, a welcoming space, and neighbors showing up for one another.

Through your investment in United Way, Feeding Hays provides free meals every Thursday to anyone who would like one. We were proud to see United Way volunteers serving our community this past week.

Thank you for making connection, nourishment, and support available to all—and thank you to the amazing Feeding Hays team that keeps this program going week after week.
