Due to the muddy conditions, the following piles we remain closed the rest of today: Construction and Demolition, tree pile, dirt pile, and clean rubble. Reminder that these materials will not be accepted in the transfer station for disposal.

The Ellis County Landfill is announcing that the Construction and Demolition pile, tree pile, clean rubble pile, and dirt pile will be closed today, Tuesday June 2nd due to the muddy conditions. These materials will not be accepted in the Transfer Station for dumping.

These conditions will be reevaluated at noon today. The transfer station will be open with no dumping after 4:45.

Due to the muddy conditions, the Ellis County Landfill will not be accepting Construction and Demolition, trees, clean rubble and dirt on their respective piles today, Saturday, May 30th. These materials will also not be allowed for dumping in the transfer station.

Municipal waste will remain open and there is no dumping after 3:45 p.m.

The tree pile might be able to open this afternoon. We will re-evaluate the tree pile at noon today.

These conditions will be re-evaluated Monday morning.

Due to the current rain and muddy conditions, the following areas of the landfill are closed for dumping until further notice: Construction and Demolition, Trees/Brush, Dirt pile, and Clean Rubble. These loads will not be accepted in the transfer station for dumping. We will reevaluate these areas on Friday, May29th. If you have any questions, please call the Landfill at 785-628-9460.
