Roosevelt 5th graders ignited their minds with a trip to Young Ameritowne. These students worked for the entire semester on learning financial literacy and implementing their skills in real life experiences. They had a blast running their simulated town.

The WeKan Crew had an out-of-this-world adventure during their trip to the Cosmosphere in Hutch! Students explored interactive exhibits, learned about space travel and discovery, and sparked their curiosity about the universe around them.

Congrats to our final Inspire 489 Award winner of the 25-26 school year. Valarie Colip has impacted not only her students but the staff she supervises as well. Her positive attitude and willingness to go above and beyond did not go unnoticed. We are lucky to have Valarie here in USD 489. Thank you to Heartland Credit Union for funding these awards and making sure our staff are recognized for their hard work.

HMS students put their creativity and compassion to work by making blankets and toys for the furry friends at the Humane Society of the High Plains. Their kindness is helping bring comfort, warmth, and a little extra joy to animals waiting for their furever homes.
