Mountain View Vol. Fire Department Mountain View Fire Department, established in 1958, serves Wilkes County, NC.

Operating from 2 stations located in the Hays and Dehart communities, we proudly respond to fire and medical emergencies 24/7. Our main station is located on Mountain View Rd beside of Mountain View Elementary School. We also operate a sub-station at the intersection of Dehart Church Rd and Cabin Creek Rd.

Today, we pause to honor the life and service of Firefighter Tony Barker. Tony selflessly dedicated himself to protecting the lives and property of the Mountain View community. He served with courage, compassion, and had a true servant’s heart.

Firefighter Barker deeply loved his community, and his impact will be felt for generations to come. We extend our heartfelt prayers to his son, his family, and all those who loved him.

Thank you, Firefighter Barker. You will never be forgotten.
