To everyone who has ever asked me, “Mayor, what can I do to help?”—the time is now.

Our children are our future, and our community is only as strong as the people who are willing to stand together. Today, I’m asking you to help us invest in both.

Whether it’s donating, volunteering your time, sponsoring a child, providing supplies, or simply showing up to encourage our youth, your support matters. No act of kindness is too small when it comes to changing a child’s life and strengthening our community.

This is bigger than one person or one organization. It takes all of us working together to build a brighter future for the next generation.

If you’ve been waiting for an opportunity to make a difference, this is your moment. Please reach out and be a blessing to our children and our community.

I was out of the office yesterday. I have just received a message stating that the website for paying water bills is currently down. I have contacted the IT department and they are working to resolve the issue. If you wish, you can obtain a money order and deposit it in the drop box at City Hall. Thank you and I apologize for any inconvenience.

I have noticed that the trash remains on the side of the road, please initiate the cleanup process before the rain arrives, making it more challenging to clean. We don’t want to mail out violations/fines! Thanks for understanding 💪🏾

The 250th anniversary of America's independence is a pivotal moment for me as a Black woman, a time for profound reflection and renewed commitment to the pursuit of freedom and equality for all. Historically, Black people have demonstrated remarkable resilience in the face of systemic oppression, tirelessly striving for the basic rights and freedoms that America's founding principles promise. As someone who identifies with both marginalized groups, I am deeply aware of the complex and often fraught history surrounding Independence Day. Although significant progress has been achieved through the collective efforts of countless individuals, disparities in freedom persist, and it is our collective responsibility to address them. As I reflect on the journey of those who fought for justice and equality, I am inspired to continue their legacy by working towards a more inclusive and equitable community. Furthermore, I recognize the transformative power of voting in shaping a future where liberty and justice are truly afforded to all. Today, I remain committed to the values of reflection, truth, community, and hope, and I am energized to continue working towards a brighter future for all. 💪🏾💪🏾❤️‍🩹🤍💙

I want to express my deepest appreciation to everyone who came out to celebrate Juneteenth and honor our community's two oldest residents, a truly uplifting experience. Special thanks to Shirley Norris for the commemorative pins and plaque, for Juneteenth and passing of our Alderwoman, Ms. Emma. Mary Lulu Carlyle thank you for the wonderful family reunion shirts. We'll continue to recognize and celebrate our community's achievements, including the yard of the month awards, and inspire greatness in all that we do. Please keep the City of Hayti Heights and Ms. Emma's family in your thoughts and prayers as we move forward together, in the days to come. Thank you 🙏🏾
