Several Food pantries, Rotary Club, Coat Drives, Girl Scout Leader and on and on! I sure am blessed to have her as my best friend for sure. She’s never let me down♥️
Hello,
I am Heather Walker and I'm running for Alderman in Ward 2. My family and I have lived in Hayti Ward 2 for 25 years and I have worked for the Hayti R -2 School District for 20 years. My husband Terry and I have 3 amazing children and he has worked for Helena Chemical in Hayti for 21 years. I love working and serving in my community; I am the current President of the Hayti Rotary Club, I also oversee two mobile food pantries each month one in Hayti and one in Braggadocio. Three years ago I started the first Girl Scout Troop Hayti has had in over 20 years. This past year I was appointed to serve as Alderman in Ward 2 because the previous Alderman moved wards. It was a pleasure sitting on the board and learning about city business. This experience furthered my interest in learning more about what is going on in our city, how it functions, and what I can accomplish alongside the other alderman. If elected I plan to help our citizens when they have concerns and to help make Hayti the best city it can be.
