Superintendent's Message for October 9, 2026 (Spanish & Mandarin translations link included)
This is a reminder that there is no school for students on Monday, October 12. This is a teacher professional development day.
The New Haven Schools Foundation supports our students and teachers year-round. Each year, the foundation awards hundreds of thousands of dollars in student scholarships and teacher grants for a variety of school-based projects and programs. To do this, they count on donations and fundraising events. The Mutt Strut, taking place on Saturday, October 24, is one of the foundation’s biggest fundraisers and a great way to show your support. The Mutt Strut is a great opportunity to get outside with your canine best friend, enjoy a hearty breakfast, and take part in a variety of pet-friendly activities. The foundation is currently looking for sponsors and vendors and hopes to sell more family and individual tickets. To learn more and register, visit the following link: NHSF Mutt Strut Registration.

New Haven has opened enrollment for the 2027-2028 school year while continuing to enroll students for the current school year.
For the 2027-2028 school year, students who turn 4 by September 1, 2027, qualify for Transitional Kindergarten (TK), while those who turn 5 by September 1, 2027, are eligible for Kindergarten. Only new students to New Haven need to enroll; current students do not need to re-enroll. We are currently only accepting enrollment applications.
