Northwoods Humane Society is seeking a dependable, hardworking Animal Care Technician to help care for dogs, cats, and other animals waiting for their forever homes.
💲 $14.00 – $16.00 per hour
🕒 Part-Time Position
Regular Schedule:
• Friday: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
• Saturday: 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM
• Additional hours available
🐶 WHAT YOU'LL DO 🐱
✔ Feed and care for shelter animals
✔ Clean and disinfect kennels
✔ Administer medications
✔ Maintain medical and care records
✔ Bathe and groom animals as needed
✔ Provide enrichment, exercise, and socialization
✔ Assist and guide volunteers
✔ Help prepare animals for successful adoption
✔ Support daily shelter operations
🐾 QUALIFICATIONS 🐾
• Reliable with excellent attendance
• Compassionate and professional
• Strong attention to detail
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Able to lift 50 pounds
• Able to safely handle dogs over 100 pounds
• Valid driver's license required
Must be at least 18 years old

Magic is an ex field racer, which means he absolutely loves to stretch his legs and run! Because of this, he must have a securely fenced yard where he can safely zoom around without worry.

This lovable 3-year-old Lab mix is a total people dog. Ivy absolutely adores her humans and is happiest when she's spending time with her favorite people, whether that's relaxing at home, going for walks, or playing in the yard. ❤️
Ivy is currently working on her fitness goals and has fully embraced the famous green bean diet—and she's loving every bite! 🥒😂 She's shedding a few extra pounds but don't let that fool you; this girl still enjoys running, playing, and having fun outdoors.

ALUMNI PUPDATE! -

We adopted Rosco a year ago and what a year it had been! He is a great addition to our family. This lovable brute has flourished.
He has discovered that he loves chuck it balls and that whenever someone has a snack that they share. Going on rides and walks are a must. This guy has had a great year, and we can’t wait to see what the future holds!

Sounds like Rosco sure is livin' the life with his forever family and we cant thank them and everyone else who has adopted from us enough, we absolutely LOVE updates, thank you for sharing! 🥳🥰

While he can be a little timid at first, give him a little time and patience, and you’ll see his fun, silly personality shine through. And trust us—it’s worth the wait. 😄🐾
