The Clean Water Program empowers Alameda County residents and businesses to protect their local creeks, wetlands and the Bay. We do this by providing expert information and practical guidance on how to prevent water pollution during everyday activities. Comprised of cities and agencies from around the county, the Clean Water Program facilitates local compliance with the Federal Clean Water Act as
well as other regulations designed to prevent water pollution. Among our many free resources are publications with practical advice, reports on water quality-related issues, as well as maps of local creek and watersheds. The Program also offers community stewardship grants, volunteer opportunities and community actions, like cleaning up a local creek or stenciling storm drains. Member agencies include: The cities of Alameda, Albany, Berkeley, Dublin, Emeryville, Fremont, Hayward, Livermore, Newark, Oakland, Piedmont, Pleasanton, San Leandro, Union City, the County of Alameda, the Alameda County Flood Control and Water Conservation District, and the Zone 7 Water Agency.
