Come for the community. Stay for the aircraft! ✈️🛩️🚁

One of the biggest highlights of the Hayward Executive Airport Open House is the incredible lineup of aircraft on display.

Get an up-close look at a variety of airplanes and helicopters, including aircraft from the Civil Air Patrol, Young Marines, and the Sea Cadets. You'll also have the chance to see EMU 309, a beautifully restored 1965 UH-1H Huey helicopter that served during the Vietnam War.

"The countdown is on! In just two weeks, Hayward Executive Airport will once again open its gates for one of the community's favorite annual events. ✈️

📌A quick share from the Hayward Air Rally Organizer 📌

Friends of the Hayward Air Rally,

A reminder that several rally related deadlines are quickly approaching:

Our scholarship deadline is a week away on April 30. If you or someone you know in the Hayward/Sacramento area is pursuing flight training or an aviation related career, let them know about this opportunity! Details are on our online application portal at https://scholarship.hwdairrally.org.

The Rally registration deadline is one month away on May 22. If you wish to order one of or custom-designed T-shirts, those orders need to be in by May 15. For all the details and to download the registration package, please visit our event entry page at http://www.hwdairrally.org/entry.

For new CFI/student teams, a generous sponsor will cover the entry fee. The rally can be a great learning experience for cross country flight planning and fuel management! Please let us know by May 15 if you'd like to take advantage of this offer.

Those planning to stay overnight at Hayward prior to the rally, or Sacramento after the banquet, should make their reservations soon - our hotel block rates will be expiring on May 10. Hotel details are in the rally registration kit as well as the event entry webpage. Please let us know if you have any trouble booking a room at our substantially discounted rates there.

We hope to see you on the starting line on rally day, May 30!

Friends of the Hayward Air Rally,

First and foremost, registration for the 62nd Hayward Air Rally is now open! Come out and join us for a day of flying, fun, and friendship!

This year's destination will again be Sacramento McClellan Airport (MCC), with our evening awards banquet at the Aerospace Museum of California on the field at MCC. Museum admission is included with the rally entry, so after arriving at MCC, you'll have the choice of spending the afternoon browsing museum exhibits or relaxing in our hospitality suite at the adjacent Lions Gate Hotel.

The registration form and an advertising flyer is available on the rally website http://www.hwdairrally.org. Sign up to fly and also help us spread the word!

Also open for applications at this time is our 2026 aviation scholarship. We plan to make one or more awards totalling $3000 to qualifying applicants who are actively pursuing an aviation-related career. The scholarship is open to Hayward and Sacramento area residents, 18 years or older. Complete details and the application form are available at https://scholarship.hwdairrally.org.

The rally is now on Instagram! While I'll continue to send boring, old-fashioned emails from time to time, follow us at https://www.instagram.com/haywardairrally/ for videos and other content related to the rally and scholarship.

Finally, if you are interested in volunteering to help on the ramp at HWD or MCC (marshalling/parking aircraft or shuttling participants), please get in touch with us!
