The Athletics and Activities Department is proud to recognize outstanding play athletes each week. Nominated by their coaches, these athletes demonstrate "Be The 1" characteristics in both academics and athletics.

🀩 Congratulations to our Hurricane Athlete of the Week:
Brendan Young! 🏈

Brendan has started his senior year with a touchdown in each of our first two games. He has a 73-yard touchdown reception and a 68-yard touchdown reception. Brendan is a big-time playmaker!

We would like to thank Backroads Coffee and Outdoor Ventures for their generous donation towards our Veterans' Wall Project. We are hopeful this project will honor those who have served, as well as inspire those who are considering service. Thank you very much!

Community Strong

Giving back to the community that supports us. ❀️

Backroads Coffee and Outdoor Ventures was proud to donate $500 toward the Veterans Wall Unit at the local high school, helping support a project that honors the men and women who have served our country.

We’re grateful to have the opportunity to contribute to something that will recognize veterans and preserve their stories for generations of students and community members to see.

We can’t wait to see the finished wall and are honored to be a small part of bringing it to life! πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

Consistency is important for school attendance.

Here are a few examples right off the bat:
❌ Coffee Run..... unexcused
βœ… Sick...excused
❌ Slept In..... unexcused
βœ… Medical Appointment....excused
❌ Babysitting ....unexcused
βœ… Drive Time.....excused
❌ Late Returning from Lunch
βœ… College Visits.....excused
❌ No Phone Call from Parent/Guardian .....unexcused
βœ… Death in the Family.....excused
❌ Working During School Hours .....unexcused

If you aren't sure whether an absence is excused, contact your building office for clarification.
