Today was an amazing day at Career Day at Perry County Central High School! Students from several schools across PERRY County came together to learn about different career opportunities.

We had the honor of attending on behalf of Perry County Emergency Management, the Perry County Sheriffโ€™s Office, Perry County 911, and the Perry County Fiscal Court. It was truly a pleasure meeting so many students and getting to talk with them about their future goals and career paths.

A big thank you to the Perry County School Board for allowing us to be part of this event each year. We always look forward to connecting with the next generation and supporting their journey toward success!

HONOR. COMMITMENT. TRANSPARENCY. PURPOSE. INCLUSIVITY. INNOVATION.

The Department of Criminal Justice Training (DOCJT) is committed to providing officers and telecommunicators with best practices, the latest technology training and legal information to protect the diverse communities they serve.

The 4-week, 160-hour Public Safety Dispatch Academy is taught by the Telecommunications Section and is designed for the entry level dispatcher. The Public Safety Dispatch Academy (PSDA) includes various modules of instruction relating to the duties and responsibilities of a dispatcher, calls for service, phone and radio procedures, information systems and call processing. The students graduating from the Public Safety Dispatch Academy represent the successful completion of a highly structured and comprehensive curriculum. As a result, each dispatcher is prepared to meet the ever-increasing demands expected of todayโ€™s public safety professional.
