Yesterday was INCREDIBLE!

On behalf of Mayor Sandra Alexander, the Board of Trustees, and the Office of the Village Clerk, we extend our heartfelt THANK YOU to every volunteer who showed up, rolled up their sleeves, packed boxes, organized supplies, and helped us serve our community.

We also thank every resident who came out. Yesterday was another powerful reminder of what happens when a community comes together with one purpose: helping our neighbors recover and move forward.

WE STILL HAVE MORE TO GIVE!

If you or your family are still in need, please stop by:

Hazel Crest Senior Center
3000 W. 170th Place, Hazel Crest, IL

Food and additional relief items are still available while supplies last. Some donated items are reserved specifically for families displaced by the recent storms.

Please share this information with a neighbor, senior, family member, or anyone who may still need assistance.

To our community partners, volunteers, donors, and residents: THANK YOU for continuing to show what Hazel Crest Strong truly means.

Together, we recover. Together, we rebuild. Together, we are Hazel Crest.

HAZEL CREST STRONG: RECOVERING AND REBUILDING TOGETHER

In the aftermath of the severe storms that impacted our community, the Village of Hazel Crest has witnessed the true meaning of community, partnership and service.

On behalf of the Office of the Village President, Board of Trustees, Office of the Village Clerk and Office of the Village Manager, we extend our sincere gratitude to everyone who has worked tirelessly to help Hazel Crest recover.

Thank you to our Village staff, volunteers, School District 144, American Red Cross, Advocate Health, ComEd, The Salvation Army, Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT), Cook County, Thornton Township, Village of East Hazel Crest, Village of Lynwood, Village of Dixmoor, and the many elected officials and representatives from neighboring communities who have stepped forward to assist.

Whether you helped clear debris, restore power, distribute food and supplies, provide resources, support displaced families or simply checked on a neighbor, your efforts have made a difference.

There is still work ahead, but Hazel Crest continues to move forward because of the strength of our residents and the incredible partnerships surrounding our community.

The storm tested us, but it also showed what happens when communities come together.

We are recovering. We are rebuilding. We are Hazel Crest Strong.
