Season's Greetings haunt fans, we have come to the unfortunate conclusion that we will not be opening for A Season to Dismember.

We recently walked the property and were shocked by the damage from the weight of all of the snow we received so far. Two of our structures need major repair. Add in the amount of work needed to clear all of the walking paths and to make them safe enough to be startled on. Unfortunately, between the busy holiday season and necessary repairs, we just don’t have enough time.

We are as disappointed as everyone else. We love what we do! We were excited to have another holiday to explore new scares, new characters, and spread cheer and fears to our community.

We wish everyone a Happy Holidays! We also want to thank our amazing crew! We continue to grow and with that, it allows us to create new sets and new stories. Spooky season is never over for us! We have new ideas and plans already in motion. We are seriously considering doing a half way to Halloween event or possibly one on July 3rd weekend. Stay safe, and we’ll see everyone in 2026!

A little update from your favorite haunted seasonal attraction, regarding our Dark Chambers: A Season to Dismember event. We've been quietly watching the weather forecast pondering. Jack Frost hasn't been kind to us this December. The DC crew is eager to scare again, but safety, both while in the haunt and on the road, is something that we care about greatly. These last couple weekends between the heavy snow and the frigid temperatures have made it unsafe for us to perform. We are possibly looking at next weekend (12/19-12/20)...but we are still undecided. With the possibility of uncertain weather, unpredictable attendance, and with it being so close to the holidays, we want to make sure the event will cover operating costs.

We will make the final decision by Wednesday night. But wanted to run it by our local spooky enthusiasts. If we opened, do we have enough victims willing to face their fears?

If this weekend doesn’t work we have been kicking around the idea of opening for another holiday in the summer or doing a half way to Halloween event. So stay tuned…

Tonight is our last night! Not ready for Halloween to be over? Us either! Come let us scare you one last time before Dr. Linus closes the doors to the public for the season. Or should he?...

We continue to be asked if we will be open in December for our third year of: A Season to Dismember. We are still considering it and will be making the decision soon. Last year the weather was unforgiving, and attendance was low. If we were to do it during the first weekend in December to try and avoid the snow, would it be too close to Thanksgiving for everyone to enjoy? Let us know below...

Happy Halloween from all of us at Dark Chambers! We only have two nights left to our season! Tonight we are honoring one of our favorite local haunts, Great River Reapers. As you may know, this is their last year terrifying the tri-states before moving their haunt to California to be closer to their family. We are sad to be losing such a haunt staple in our community, but also excited to hear that their attraction will live on and continue creating Halloween memories for generations to come. 10/31 is the final night to visit Great River Reapers, don't miss out!

In honor of GRR, $1 of every ticket from tonight's sales will be donated to the Tri-states Women Warriors.

Great news! The staff of Birchwood Asylum has just informed us that they've had a sudden spike in organ "donations" and all of the patients have been well fed these last few weeks. Check with our patient Lucien about our leftover stock...you can find him in the shadows of his confinement cell.

A frequent question we've been getting asked is if you can still buy tickets at the door...YES! Dark Chambers will be walking in the Dubuque parade tonight at 7pm. Be sure to come down and get some candy. We will still be opening at our normal time tonight. But we recommend coming after 8 tonight so you don't miss any of your favorite iconic characters!
