The beginning of May means it was time once again for our Worker of the Month celebration here at Valley Industries! 🎉

First and foremost, we would like to thank our wonderful sponsors and supporters: Jay Copeland of Brand Haas Apparel-Print-Promo, Helfers Pastries, Hope Church, Anysha Womack and her bracelets, and of course our special friends, Eddie the police dog and his human, Officer Mann. Thank you all for helping make this celebration so special each month! ❤️
I would also like to Thank Brian Terry who purchased “Mental Health Awareness” pins for the entire workshop.

This month, we are proud to recognize an individual who brings positivity to work each and every day. Her love for her coworkers shines through in everything she does. She has a strong desire to learn and grow, is always eager to take on new challenges, and has great attendance. Congratulations to Barbara Bellman, our Female Worker of the Month for May! 🌟

For our Male Worker of the Month, we would like to recognize a quiet yet dependable gentleman who leads by example. He is never afraid to roll up his sleeves and get the job done, and supervisors know they can count on him without hesitation. Along with his excellent attendance, these qualities make him truly deserving of this recognition. Congratulations to Larry Devance, our Male Worker of the Month! 👏

And finally, our Staff Worker of the Month is someone who consistently goes above and beyond in our thrift store. Her hard work and dedication do not go unnoticed. Congratulations to Sandy Luther as our Staff Worker of the Month! 💙

Congratulations to all of our honorees, and thank you for all that you do for Valley Industries!

It has been a very busy week here at Valley Industries — so busy that we forgot to celebrate a very special milestone that happened last Thursday, May 30th.

After 17 wonderful years at Valley Industries, Mary Wojciechowski has decided it is time to retire and enjoy life’s next adventure! ❤️

We celebrated with Mary in the afternoon and shared memories, laughter, and well wishes as she begins this exciting new chapter. Mary said she is looking forward to spending more time with her roommates, going on outings, and exploring the world.

Mary will always be welcome to come back and visit Valley anytime, and she is always invited to attend any Valley functions. She will truly be missed by so many here, but we are excited for her as she begins this new journey.

Congratulations, Mary, on your retirement! We wish you happiness, fun adventures, and many wonderful memories ahead! 🎉

We decorated and entered both our Firetruck and our parade float into the Florissant Valley of Flowers Parade this year. We all had a great time! Thank you to everyone who volunteers on the Valley of Flowers planning committee to bring this outstanding community event to life each year. Special thanks to Valley staff, and workers, along with their families, for your participation today! Also special thanks to BeBe’s Balloon Biz for decorating our vehicles so beautifully! We were notified that one of our vehicles won an award, but I am not sure yet which one. Thank you!

So as many of you know, last Thursday (April 24th), Valley Industries held our Annual Report Meeting. It was a great opportunity to come together, reflect, and celebrate the incredible people who make everything possible.
During the meeting, we proudly recognized our hardworking employees with service awards and honored our dedicated board members, for their continued commitment. We also had the privilege of announcing our Worker of the Year Runner-Ups, as well as crowning our Worker of the Year King and Queen—congratulations to all of our outstanding recipients!
In addition, we reviewed our financials, goals, and outcomes, highlighting the progress we’ve made and the exciting direction ahead.
Here are a few photo highlights from this event. A huge shoutout to Bebe Balloons for the beautiful balloon display—it truly helped make the celebration extra special!
Thank you to everyone who continues to support and contribute to our success.
